cross·roads /ˈkrôsˌrōdz/ n. an intersection of two or more roads; a point at which a crucial decision must be made that will have far-reaching consequences.
Join the University of Utah School of Dance for our inaugural concert of the 2024-25 academic season. cross·roads explores the intersection of dance disciplines including Contemporary Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, and Dance/Computer Science. Join School of Dance students as they take you on a journey through an eclectic selection of choreographic works. cross·roads will feature four varied dance pieces, including: (1) a new work by world renowned choreographer Trey McIntyre (Trey McInytre Project), (2) a new work by international guest artist Victor Rottier (Johannes Wieland at Staatstheater Kassel), (3) a new work en pointe by Associate Professor Melissa Bobick (University of Utah), and (4) a new work exploring creative aspects of human-drone interactivity between the University of Utah School of Dance and Kahlert School of Computing by Associate Professor Eric Handman (University of Utah) in collaboration with Scotty Hardwig (Virginia Tech) and Zachary Duer (Virginia Tech).
